Rain, rain, rain

An awful lot of it around NSW, South Australia, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory currently. People have been asked to evacuate their homes and properties in a number of cities. Truly this land is a place of drought or flood. My prayers for all affected, and for the fine men and women of our emergency services who provide much needed advice and assistance.

As we Orthodox pray in our services:

For seasonable weather, for an abundance of the fruits of the earth, and for peaceful times, let us pray to the Lord.
Lord, have mercy.
