Slept until just before 6am: and considering I went to bed at 9:30pm, that is a good sleep for me.
Thank you again for your prayers: and thanks be to God.
I made an appointment to see a career counsellor at the uni I studied at; we shall see how that goes. Not planning a dramatic [...]

Well, as St James wrote, ‘the prayers of the righteous avail much’, so I must be blessed to have many righteous read my blog. Feeling a bit better and brighter this afternoon: thank you.
And thanks to 2 wonderful work colleagues as well who listen: I am blessed.

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Matthew 6:34 [ESV]
Deceptively simple words: deceptively simple, at least for me, because the simple act of not worrying current seems equivalent to the feat of throwing a mountain into the sea by a word. [...]

A reasonably tough weekend: English Conversation Class went well and I sat through a movie as part of the Italian Film Festival, Many Kisses Later, that, while rather enjoyable, passed me by a lot as I was consumed, and I use that word intentionally, with anxiety — about everything and anything. The view from my front yard:
Carried on the wind from the western part of NSW. An interesting site to wake to: a very eerie glow. And rather quiet: cannot hear the usual birds chirping [of course, I just write that and one starts... But quieter than usual].

My beautiful nieces on holiday [an indoor shot mind you] in Fiji via MMS — ah…technology: Skye has had her hair braided as can be seen. They are back this afternoon [I'm going to the airport with mum to pick them up this afternoon] and it will be great to see them again. [...]

My dad had a knee replacement on Thursday evening: visited him yesterday and he seems to be recovering well — though he was doped up on some painkiller [the name of which I cannot remember] which was interesting to see. He will remain in the hospital there for several more days before being transferred [...]

Today, September 18. A colleague, from Chile, informed me. Given a reasonable Chilean, and South American in general, population around where I live, there was last week, and will be this week, a Chilean festival at the local showground. May try and pop along. Here are some photos from last [...]
