Sister Macrina on The Syrian Fathers
Profuse thanks to the entertaining and informing Saint for his recent post on Sister Macrina’s blog about the Syrian Fathers: a particular love, and interest, of mine.
She attended a conference on the Syrian Fathers in Ghent, and has published notes from the event. Here are the three currently up there:
- An introduction by Joris van Ael [an iconographer and one of the organisers of the conference]
- Simeon of Taibouthèh by Dom André Louf, ocso [abbot emeritus of the abbey of Mont des Cats in France and author of several books]
- Isaac of Nineveh by Brother Sabino Chialà [a monk of Bose monastery in Italy and responsible for the Italian translation of the second and third series of Saint Isaac's homilies]
Looking forward to reading them. There were also two other talks on which notes may be forthcoming: check here for updates.
